So, coincidentally I sit here with a delicious coffee from Cantina 663 in my hand before I gear up for a night of practice, so thought I would share some love for this trendy little Beaufort St gem.
Cantina 663 is found in the Astor Arcade on Beaufort St, and promotes itself as being “all about seasonal food”. The chefs pride themselves on offering up the freshest food, and using, where possible, produce from sustainable farming environments with an emphasis on organic, bio-dynamic and free range produce. This little find boasts a very suave and comfortable atmosphere, offering up either outdoor lane-way or indoor dining. Their selective wine list aims at reflecting the flavours of Italy, Spain and Portugal to accompany the menus Spanish-Italian influences.
Cantina 663 also offers up what is arguably some of Mt Lawley’s finest coffee, and is a popular choice amongst coffee enthusiasts and quite the drawcard for local university students wanting to escape the drab, bitter, tasteless wonder-tripe that is Aroma Cafe’s on campus coffee at ECU/WAAPA. It is well worth the short car trip down to Beaufort St if you’re looking for something to excite the palette and not just give you a boost.
I rate Cantina 663, and think that if you haven’t tried it out for yourself yet then its well worth it. Plus, the menu is positively delectable!
